In this case, actions are just as important as words.
I know that in a relationship, it's not always going to turn out the way I want, or the way you want. It is also two completely different things to mean what I say, and to actually exert the actions that reassure my words. It is not enough to understand the situation; knowing what the right thing to do is and saying I will do this 'right thing'. It only has any effect if I mean it from the bottom of my heart; no bottled feelings, no lying to myself. I get what you're trying to explain to me now. Unfortunately, this is easier said than done.
